SP is great for PBR painting, but it is a horrible paint tool compared to GIMP or Photoshop. Unless you are trying to add PBR textures to an older aircraft that does not have it, there is not really an advantage to using something like Substance Painter for repaints.

While it is possible, it is not always practical, as many normal texture details are baked from the source 3D objects that you will not have access to. Repainting existing aircraft in Substance suggests that you want to reverse engineer existing 3D objects (of which the IP may be copyrighted if it is payware). Ive done a lot of googling, and watched a bunch of tutorial videos. So for PBR you only have a diffuse and normal texture file. It does include source to the ac3d x-plane plugin, WED, the various tools, and our global scenery generator.
X PLANE AC3D CODE
This code does not include X-Plane and the 'X-Apps' (PlaneMaker, WorldMaker, AirfoilMaker, and Briefer). Also keep in mind that PBR formats are different in X-Plane than in other game engines the metallic and roughness gets combined somehow, and it stored in the alpha channel of the normal texture. The X-Plane Scenery Tools (XPTools) code base is the source code tree for all of the Laminar Research scenery creation/editing tools. There is a video that one of the X-Plane devs did a while back regarding Blender/Substance/X-Plane workflow.

(For Windows only, currently in public beta.) DragInst This plugin allows you to move the animated parts of a custom aircraft panel inside X-Plane to perfectly align your custom panel. If you are talking about importing OBJ8 format into Blender that is not currently supported. AC3D OBJ7 Plugin The X-Plane OBJ7 plugin for AC3D allows AC3D to read and write X-Plane object files and also provides useful tools for manipulating 3-d objects. STL export from PM I have found that to reliably import into Blender. It depends on what you mean with "from X-Plane to Blender"? If you just want to export your flight model 3D object you created in Planemaker to Blender, then use the.
